Before applying, please ensure your startup meets the following core requirements:

1. New Applicant: Must not have received funding from Continentals Venture Capital in our last investment cohort. We prioritize first-time applicants to broaden our impact.

2. Geographic Focus: Must be headquartered and have primary operations within an emerging market in Africa, Asia, or Latin America.

3. Sector Alignment: The startup's core business must directly align with one of our core sectors: FinTech, AgriTech, HealthTech, or Community Development (including EdTech, Clean Energy, Climate Tech).

4. Company Stage: We fund strong, well-researched ideas (with a business plan), Pre-Seed, Seed, and Series A stages.

5. Business Plan: Must have a comprehensive and realistic business plan detailing the problem, solution, market analysis, and operational strategy.

6. Financial Projections: Must provide detailed, realistic, and justified 3-5 year financial projections, including assumptions for revenue, expenses, and key metrics.

7. Founding Team: Must have at least two (2) dedicated full-time founders with relevant experience and a balanced skill set.

8. Legal Entity: Must be, or be in the process of becoming, a registered for-profit legal entity in its country of operation.

9. Impact Measurement: Must be able to define and track key social impact metrics relevant to their solution (e.g., lives improved, smallholders empowered, carbon reduced).

10. Scalability Potential: Must demonstrate a clear vision and potential for regional or continental scalability beyond the initial market.
